Micropigmentation or Permanent makeup is a cosmetic tattoo procedure that is meant for the gentle skin on your face. The cosmetic artist inserts a small amount of pigment to the upper layers of your skin to enhance your facial features. As a practicing healthcare provider, I use the highest standards when selecting pigments, tattoo machines, and sterilized materials to create the best eyebrows, lips or eyeliners for my clients. Healed results are water-proof and smudge-proof! Depending on the clients skin type, skin care, and their after-care, the results can last up to 1-3 years or more.

Brow choices are :

Microblading with small hair strokes that mimic natural hairs of the client.

Ombre brows with a special gradient of shading to mimic light brow powder makeup.

Shadow or Powder Brows can mimic a moderate to heavy amount of makeup on the brows.

Each method creates different looks and can be combined in different ways. As your cosmetic tattoo artist I will work with you to determine the best methods depeneding on your skin health, the pattern of your natural brows and and Previous tattooing you have had done in that area.

Lips can be enhanced with a full lip color, a lip blush or a lipliner. Pigmentation acts different when placed into the lips as opposed to other parts of the face. it is often necessary to carry out multiple treatments in order to obtain the desired result.

Eyeliner micropigmentation can be placed as a natural lash enhancer, as a baby eyeliner that is subtle or a decorative eyeliner with a smokier thicker finish. During our Consultation we can decide which style fits your skin tone, face shape, and fashion sense.

Although electrolysis has been practiced for over 100 years, it's still a mystery for many people. Simply put, electrolysis is a hair-by-hair removal procedure accomplished by the use of a probe, conducting electricity, that destroys hair growth tissue. It has proven to be more effective than laser, waxing, shaving or tweezing, because it is permanent. It's still the ONLY method that can legitimately advertise as permanent hair removal. The FDA has prohibited laser hair removal practices from advertising their services as permanent or painless. Check the information for yourself at the FDA website on laser facts and the American Electrology Association (AEA) official website.

Here’s How Electrolysis Works

An extremely fine probe is inserted into the follicle alongside the hair and a slight amount of electric current destroys the hair root. A treated hair will slide out with no sensation of being tweezed. You will feel a slight heat or tingling sensation

What To Expect After Treatment

After treatment, there may be some redness or swelling, but this disappears within an hour or so. This is part of your body's natural healing process and should be of no concern. You should keep the area clean with witch hazel, and avoid sun exposure.

Eyebrow threading is an ancient hair-removal technique, practiced for centuries among the most beautiful women of Asia and the Middle East. It is the best alternative to waxing and tweezing, especially for sensitive skin. Unlike waxing, threading does not remove a layer of skin, which can leave the skin on your face susceptible to sun damage. By far the least invasive method of facial hair removal, this method creates a graceful brow with clean, well-defined edges that frame the eye.

How does threading work?

Here at The Brow Boutique, a threading expert takes a thin cotton thread and twists it into a double strand, which then is swept along the skin. With rhythmic – almost hypnotic – movement, the unwanted hairs are secured in the thread and lifted from the follicle with precision and finesse.

Is eyebrow threading painful?

Many of our customers agree that threading causes less discomfort than brow waxing. Because it targets individual hairs, threading keeps skin irritation to a minimum. Excessive pulling on delicate skin around the eyes is eliminated, and for those sensitive to waxing or depilatory products, there is no exposure to irritants.

How long does threading take?

A simple eyebrow threading can take just 5-7 minutes. The upper lip takes about 3 minutes; a full face thread takes about 15-20 minutes. It can be done on:

• Eyebrows

• Sideburns

• Lip

• Chin

• Neck

• and Fingers

Is threading better than waxing?

Yes threading is known to be a superior option to tweezing, sugaring or waxing. That’s why salons in the States have experienced an exponential growth in the demand for this service. This eastern method of hair removal involves less discomfort and eliminates the chance of your coming in contact with wax that is too hot for tender facial skin. Hair is removed from the root so there’s less of that “grow-back factor.” This extends the time between salon visits, saving time and money and maintenance in front of the mirror! …And, because of the precision involved, “threaders” can hone their artistry, creating perfect brows for everyone’s unique face shape and personality.
